FINGERPRINTING INFORMATION:

In order to work for the Ocosta School District, every employee must submit and pass a WSP & FBI fingerprint background check through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).

The instruction sheet can be found on OSPI's website at: https://www.k12.wa.us/certification/fingerprints-background-checks/fingerprint-records-forms-and-resources

For live-scan electronic fingerprinting services, please contact the Educational Service District (ESD) of your choice through their website for information on scheduling an appointment.

If you are unable to go to an ESD office, you can be fingerprinted at a law enforcement or private fingerprinting agency currently providing the printing service. You must pick up a fingerprint card from the Ocosta District Office and bring it with you to the fingerprinting agency. The completed card must be mailed to OSPI with the processing fee included.

Completed cards that are submitted to OSPI take 10-14 days from the date the card is received to process and obtain results from the WSP and FBI.  Once processed, the results are available to the Professional Certification office for educational application purposes and HR offices at employing school districts, charter schools, private schools, and tribal schools for employment purposes.
