This fall, our school will participate in the Washington State Healthy Youth Survey, an important statewide project designed to gather valuable information about the health and well-being of young people.
The survey will be administered in fall 2025. In large districts, it will be given to students in grades 6, 8, 10, and 12. In smaller districts, students in grades 6 through 12 will be invited to participate.
The Healthy Youth Survey includes questions on a variety of topics such as physical activity, safety, substance use, relationships, school experiences, and access to school-based services. The data collected helps schools, communities, and state agencies better understand the needs of students and create programs to support them while reducing risks.
Student participation is voluntary, and privacy is a top priority. No names or codes are used that could identify individual students or link survey responses back to them.
We appreciate the support of parents and guardians in encouraging students to take part in this valuable survey. The information collected provides important insight into how schools and communities can continue to improve resources and opportunities for our youth.
