Students stocking shelves with food and hygiene products.

The Ocosta Junior/Senior High School National Honor Society has launched a student food pantry, designed to support students by providing access to easy-to-prepare food items and basic hygiene products. The pantry is a service-learning project created by students, for students, with the goal of ensuring all students have what they need to feel supported and ready to learn.

The project was made possible through an initial donation from Westport Senior House, whose generosity helped establish the pantry and stock its first supplies. School leaders and students alike expressed appreciation for the community partnership that helped bring the project to life.

Students who may benefit from the pantry are encouraged to connect confidentially with Mrs. Schaeffer. The pantry reflects Ocosta’s continued commitment to caring for students and fostering a culture of service, leadership, and community support.
